CrosStar's StarSystem Remote Antenna Kit
When mounting one of CrosStar's StarSystem remote units (LiftStar, LevelStar, PumpStar, MonitorStar) inside a control panel or underground station, the standard "Rubber Duck" whip antenna that comes with the remote unit must be replaced with an external antenna. To simplify your installation, CrosStar offers this Remote Antenna Kit with all the parts required to mount and wire an external antenna.
The Remote Antenna Kit is available two ways: the first is for above ground control panel mounting with a short Coax Connection Cable. The second is with a long Coax Connection Cable for use with underground stations or when mounting the antenna away from the control panel.
The antenna CrosStar offers with the remote Antenna Kit is a unique low visibility unit with wide bandwidth and a low angle radiation pattern that is far superior to flat or "hockey puck" style antennas and can produce results superior to many other high-gain antennas. Only 2½ inches tall and made of high grade plastic, this antenna mounts through the top of the Control Panel or underground station access lid with a 7/8" mounting stud. A Coax Cable then connects the antenna to the remote unit.
